We have immediate full-time openings for skilled Forklift Mechanics. Candidates must have at least 5 years verifiable work history in all aspects of the trade. Thorough knowledge of all mechanical components and electrical components a must! We seek only the best candidates with excellent safety practices, work ethic, attitude and attendance who excel in a team-oriented environment.
We are looking to employ several Forklift Mechanics to assist with the repair and servicing of our equipment.
Positions are available in our workshop as well as our Field Service division.
Types of Technicians:
Field Service Technician – These technicians drive one of our newer fully stocked service vans to our many customers, located throughout our territory, and service our customers on a variety of equipment!
Shop Technician – Shop Technicians are based in our safe and well-equipped shops, doing a variety of work from pre-delivery of new equipment to installation of attachments, diagnostics and repair on major components and much more!
Duties
- Examines forklift or equipment and determines nature and extent of damage or malfunction.
- Plans work procedure using charts, technical manuals, and experience.
- Determines what parts are necessary for repair and requisitions parts accordingly.
- Knowledge of forklift, electrical, fuel, hydraulic, pneumatic, brake, and other forklift systems necessary.
- Lubricates moving parts and drives or tests vehicle to verify conformance to specifications.
- Performs maintenance on all forklifts and other motorized equipment.
- Changes oil, checks batteries, and lubricates equipment and machinery.
- Other duties include fabrication or repair of metal components such as exhaust systems, chassis repair, and structural repair.
- Examines protective guards, nuts and bolts, and specified safety devices and makes adjustments as required.
- Will be required to wear all of the necessary personal protective equipment such as, hard hats, eye and hearing protection, gloves, and dust and respiratory protection.
